In this KKR vs RR encounter, KKR looked a better side on both paper and pitch which performed well in each department. KKR bowled well with a strong spin attack of Varun Chakravarty and pacer Harshit Rana, Spencer and Arora. While in the batting KKR was very clinical with their consistent performance of Quinton de Kock to finish the game as a match winner.
Strategic analysis of KKR vs RR
This was a strategic loss of RR which was also shown by the captaincy of Riyan Parag to get the game deeper while having a low score of 151-9 which sounded 20-25 runs short for this ground. On the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane was proactive in captaincy and held the attack when RR was consistently losing the wickets. Rahane made a better execution of their plans and players performed better than in the last match on this ground.
RR need a more proactive approach and the team is missing the captaincy of regular captain Sanju Samson. The team is out of balance in both batting and bowling and more specifically the bowling change and batting order look poor in their first two lost matches.
